Your Dedicated Team
MedCounsel is a multi-disciplinary team of medical and legal experts committed to helping you resolve medical malpractice claims.
Our Story
The initial concept for MedCounsel was conceived by President, James Molony, in response to inequities he observed while working to defend physicians facing medical malpractice claims. In this role, James witnessed the devastating impact medical errors can have for the individuals who lose their quality of life and the families who lose their loved ones. After seeing the uphill struggle these people face when seeking compensation for their loss, James felt compelled to help.
James first approached lifelong friend Marc Di Rosa seeking his assistance to turn the idea of MedCounsel into a reality. Marc immediately jumped at the opportunity to help patients obtain justice for medical negligence because his family is one of the many to be impacted by medical error. Marc’s grandfather, who came to Canada as an Italian immigrant hoping to give his family a better life, passed away at a young age due to a misdiagnosed heart ailment.
With Marc on board, the team sought a dedicated physician to provide the required medical expertise and Dr. Andrew Cameron has answered the call. As an Emergency Physician, Dr. Cameron has seen firsthand the detrimental consequences that can occur when medical errors happen. He understands the stress and anxiety that comes with facing a malpractice claim.
The management team has been working ever since to develop MedCounsel into a valuable tool for individuals and lawyers to help level the playing field in medical malpractice litigation.
